Speaking Through the Noise

Speaking Through the Noise, written for a performance with the Los Angeles Master Chorale in 2019, is an expression of morphology through the evolution from a simple hum to the phrase "can you hear me". As the piece progresses, phonetic elements of the target phrase come into fruition, with vowel contour and constonants gaining complexity as time goes by.
